job description

Randstad are currently looking for a Strategic Finance Business Partner to provide expert advice and decision support, taking full ownership of the relationship between finance and the business.

This is a newly created position where you will bring significant business partnering experience at a senior to executive level, giving you the opportunity to work closely alongside the CFO and DCE, supported by finance in order to effectively contribute towards strategy development and planning.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Become embedded in the business and provide expert reporting, insights and influence in order to provide an effective service with a strategic lense.
  • Develop and implement both financial and non-financial solutions in order to maximise investment return and budget allocation across the organisation.
  • Provide financial leadership, playing in a key role in strategy and planning development for long term financial planning.
  • Play a pivotal role in supporting the business with protecting and optimising their assets, working collaboratively across EPMO and wider finance in order to ensure the successful delivery of the customers strategic direction.
  • Provide key support in the development of both internal and external capital business cases.
  • Ensure the provision of high quality strategic and technical advice and support is given to the customer, particularly towards their performance measures, budget and annual plan.
  • Provide mentoring, coaching and support to other Finance Business Partners and Financial Analysts.

Key Requirements:

  • CA Qualified or equivalent
  • 10+ years of proven finance/commercial experience within complex organisation(s)
  • Experience managing complex Digital and/or Infrastructure programmes
  • High quality communication and relationship skills, with a proven track record of influencing others and building trust.
  • Strong change leadership experience
  • Technical experience across planning, budgeting, investment analysis, business case writing and financial governance.
