job description

INTERVIEWS IN AUCKLAND, OCTOBER 11TH - 13TH

A well-established school group within the UAE is seeking Early Years, Primary, and Secondary teachers from New Zealand, for positions starting August 2020.

Please note, attending an interview in Auckland October 11th-13th in person is mandatory; the group is currently not accepting applications for Skype interviews.

The group operates state of the art campuses based in Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Al Ain and Ras Al Khaimah. The schools cater for students from KG to Grade 12, facilities are plentiful and the spacious campus is split into KG, Primary and High school boys and girls. The majority of pupils are of Arabic origin (95% are Emirati).

Students are encouraged to become critical thinkers through a curriculum which has been designed to develop students' skills and develop the awareness required to become responsible and productive citizens of their own society and the world community. All schools follow the world renowned IB curriculum and offer IB training to all teachers.

Due to visa requirements in the UAE, Early Years and Primary teachers must hold a Bachelor of Education with the relevant EY/Primary specialisation.

For Secondary roles, all subjects are welcome, but there will be a particular focus on the core subjects of English, Maths, and Science.

For Secondary teachers, your degree AND teaching qualification must match your teaching subject (for example, a BA in English plus a PGCE in English, to teach Secondary English).

In addition to this, all teachers must have at least 2 years of post-qualification classroom teaching experience.

In return, the schools offer a fantastic package, including:

  • Tax-free monthly salary from AED 12,000 (NZ$5200) per month
  • Free furnished accommodation
  • Paid utility bills
  • Local medical insurance
  • Free bus transportation to and from school
  • Annual flights
  • End of contract gratuity payment

If this would be of interest and you meet the requirements outlined above, please get in touch ASAP to secure your interview spot!
