Test Engineer (Contract) - JavaScript, Salesforce, Selenium - Auckland CBD

• Digital testing projects - 3 months initially with strong chance of extension

This financial business is looking for a Test Engineer (mixture of manual & automation) to come on board and join their QA Team on an initial 3 month contract starting in March 2021.

Working closely with the Test Leads, you’ll need to hit the ground running and help the team carry out various manual (UAT, regression), API and automation testing. The business is looking to hire someone who can automate frameworks in JavaScript however programming / scripting knowledge based on .NET or Java is fine - you will not need to automate frameworks from scratch, this has already been done. Having a STRONG programming background is necessary for this role, also any knowledge of non-functional testing would be great. Also any knowledge of Salesforce and AWS would be a big bonus.

Possessing knowledge and previous work experience in the financial, banking and / or payments space would be preferred, especially in a smaller setting as opposed to a large corporate.

What we want from you?

• Senior level QA / testing experience in automation practices
• Experienced working in the financial, banking or payments space prefered
• Programming / scripting knowledge of .NET, JavaScript or Java (a must!)
• Experienced using Selenium WebDriver & Cucumber framework
• Knowledge of Cloud in particular AWS (ideal)
• Previous experience working with Salesforce (ideal)
• Experienced mentoring and upskilling a wider team in automation based practices
• Attention to detail and quality
• Familiar working to Agile practices and methodologies (Scrum, TDD, BDD or Kanban)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
