This leading business in its sector is currently seeking a highly skilled Information Architect to lead information architecture and management artefacts on behalf of a large-scale transformation program.

As an integral part of this program, you will initially lead the development of data management plans for the information areas of contracts, inventory and warehousing, purchasing, asset, finance and works management. This will include developing system agnostic logical data models, definitions, mapping to physical constructs, performing security classifications, defining rules, determining governance arrangements with business areas & data quality considerations.

About the company

This leading business in its sector is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Information Architect to lead and develop information architecture and management artefacts on behalf of a large-scale transformation program.

As an integral part of this program, you will initially lead the development of data management plans for the information areas of contracts, inventory and warehousing, purchasing, asset / equipment, finance and works management. This will include developing system agnostic logical data models, definitions, mapping to physical constructs, performing security classifications, defining rules, determining governance arrangements with business areas and data quality considerations.

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership of the information architecture and management capability;
  • Assess existing sites and systems to evaluate their usability, usefulness, visual design, content, and branding
  • Look for efficiency and evaluate what the user-experience is and where it might be improved
  • Definition and implementation of information management practices to transition the organisation from current to future state;
  • Follow any organisation wide information architecture and management frameworks;
  • Development and maintenance of information architecture and management artefacts including data management plans, logical data models and associated mapping to business and physical data model; and
  • Guiding and providing leadership to business stakeholders on business rules development and other information management practices.

Skills/experience required:

  • System agnostic data modelling at a conceptual and logical level;
  • Data quality management including the definition of business rules, data quality rules, dimensions and ongoing monitoring;
  • Metadata management specifically glossaries and data dictionaries;
  • Knowledge of information management frameworks;
  • Information management type toolsets such as data modelling tools and metadata management
  • Technical implementation experience in a omni-channel and/or eCommerce retailer or a large enterprise business on consumer offerings projects (advantageous)
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
