We are looking for a talented Payroll Administrator to fill a full time position in central CBD Wellington. This is a varied role in a fun team with great opportunity for growth.

This role is an end to end payroll position in a tight knit team covering the following tasks:

  • Follow all policies and procedures to ensure consistency across payroll
  • Accurately input changes to the payroll system such as new appointees, cessations, promotions, transfers, overtime payments, deductions and leave without pay
  • Process payrolls within appropriate timeframes
  • Maintain the leave system by ensuring the payroll system contains updated leave data, ensuring the regular receipt of leave returns and that accruals are processed
  • Produce and distribute documents from payroll such as payslips and reports as required
  • Ensure all payroll processes and activities meet audit requirements, e.g. documentation is filed accurately and securely
  • Work closely with HRMIS team to ensure data integrity and continuity of system informationand reporting
  • Resolve complex employee queries within timeframe targets, and provide legislation interpretation/advice to employees, managers and HR team
  • Provide accurate reporting of employee accruals, leave details and salary costs to the Finance Department and Managers
