PHP Symfony Developer – Digital Solutions & Live Experiences

The Company:


A production company providing expertise in digital, event and activation management for major client across New Zealand and the world are now looking for a Senior Front End Developer to join them in their central Auckland office. This business has over 50 staff across design, software development, project management, content production and event/activations management, and collectively deliver unique and innovative websites, mobile apps, digital solutions and event technology.

The Role and Culture:


Working within a strong development team, you will work mainly in the backend (with a little bit of focus on full stack / frontend). You will be regularly challenged to support things not attempted before, so experimenting, testing and adapting to the ever changing requirements is super important. As well as working on client projects, this business has its own platform to support and their own road map (often starting from scratch) so you will not be bored!

Skills / Experience:

  • Over 3 year commercial experience programming in PHP
  • Strong knowledge of modern PHP frameworks and development tools (Composer, Symfony3)
  • Solid experience using Sonata Admin, FOSuser and FOSRest bundles
  • Excellent knowledge of Object Oriented Design principle
  • Knowledge of MYSQL and SQLlite and CouchDB and Redis
  • Knowledge of front end web technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3
  • Experience with Angular2 or React or both or NodeJS (ideal but not essential)
  • Experience developing efficient, well-structured web based applications
  • Experience with version control systems such as GIT, actually only GIT
  • A self-starter who is experienced working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
