... About the Role - Finance Accounts Clerk (Kaiawhina)
The position entails overseeing the day-to-day administrative functions and providing support for the organisation's financial and operational tasks. We are looking for someone who has high integrity, an eye for detail, excellence, strong organisational abilities, and a structured approach to meet financial rhythm deadlines.
Position details
- Permanent, Full time, 40 hours per week
- Starting from $27.00 per hour (depending of qualifications and experience, aligned with pay equity)
- Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm
A day in the role
- Assisting in financial month-end procedures, reporting, and journal entries, while ensuring accurate capture of monthly accruals when necessary
- Regularly monitoring both bank balances and credit card balances
- Reconciling creditor and cash payments in Xero and coding other income
- Meet all deadlines of the daily/weekly/monthly, and annual finance functions
- Assist in preparing information required for the Annual Audit
- Support with payroll duties
We are seeking a Financial Accounts Clerk who
- Strong Excel skills and good general IT skills
- Strong administration skills with an eye for detail
- Strong understanding of Xero Accounting software
- Bookkeeping or Finance Administration experience
- Very organised and structured
