We are partnering with a public sector organisation to find an OIA Advisor for a short term contract until the end of June. This is a role where your eye for detail will ensure the Programme meets its statutory obligations and maintains its reputation with the Minister’s office.

Key Responsibilities:

• OIA Management: End-to-end coordination and drafting of high-quality responses to Official Information Act requests.
• Ministerial Correspondence: Drafting briefings and replies that meet strict quality and timeliness standards.
• Relationship Management: Building trust with the Programme Director, the Minister’s office, and internal stakeholders.

Your Skills & Experience:

• Experience in a Ministerial Services or Correspondence role within the NZ Public Sector.
• Understanding of the Official Information Act and government processes.
• Superior writing skills—you can turn complex information into clear, concise messaging.
• You understand the nuances of working within a Ministerial environment.
• An attitude and the ability to thrive under the pressure of tight deadlines.
