About the Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will provide critical support during the busy year-end period for the Wellington Central based organisation.
We are looking for a Assistant Accountant to provide support over a 3 month temporary assignment to own high-volume reconciliations and support a busy year-end cycle. Review AP aging reports, process expense management and manage journal entries to ensure financial accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform complex balance sheet reconciliations.
Oversee end-to-end expense management processing.
Review Accounts Payable entries for reporting accuracy.
Prepare schedules and documentation for external auditors.
Manage monthly journal entries, accruals, and prepayments.
Deliver flexible ad-hoc financial support as required.
Skills & Experience
To hit the ground running, we are looking for:
Immediate availability for a Wellington-based start.
Proven experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar role.
Intermediate Excel skills including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables.
