We are looking for a Production Planner to join a leading company dedicated to manufacturing and launching aerospace systems in Auckland.
The successful candidate will be responsible for work order management , ensuring the Production team has clear, prioritised work and no build blockers. This role requires close interaction with Engineering, Quality, Production, Supply Chain, and Finance to manage the production schedule, production lead times, yield management, and engineering build timelines.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for supply and fulfilment planning within our MRP systems. Your core duties will include:
... - Workflow Management: Releasing work orders to Production and issuing kit requests to Inventory to ensure smooth operations.
- Material Visibility: Accountable for creating visibility around material positions by generating line of balance, material shortage, and "clear to build" reports.
- Data Integrity: Maintaining accurate part master data within the MRP system for production parts.
- Schedule Support: Supporting integration timelines by prioritizing and expediting subassemblies.
- Collaboration: Working as a strong player within a cross-functional team to achieve company-wide goals.
About You
We are looking for a professional who possesses a moderate understanding of general planning aspects and can work under the close direction of senior personnel. The ideal candidate brings:
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in MRP and ERP systems, MS Office, and a strong grasp of math and statistics.
- Planning Fundamentals: Proven knowledge regarding master data management, batch processing, and issue ticket disposition.
- Operational Skills: The ability to conduct "clear to build" reviews and expedite materials effectively through production.
- Soft Skills: Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, paired with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Adaptability: You are team-oriented and capable of multitasking to meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Candidate Experience
While not mandatory, the following attributes are highly advantageous:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or a relevant field.
- Prior experience in aerospace, EV automotive, or similar disruptive manufacturing industries.
- Experience in a rapid-growth environment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Familiarity with AS9100 and US export controls (ITAR/EAR).
