This role is non-negotiable for statutory compliance, requiring deep expertise in the Public Records Act 2005 (Section 23) and the Privacy Act 2020. You will guide the secure, large-scale transition of records, which includes identifying and migrating both digital and historical physical material—all within the strict three-month statutory timeframe.
Your Impact:
- Legal Compliance: Establish a fully compliant framework, including managing sensitive Care Records obligations.
- Security Integration: Collaborate with Security Architects to implement NZISM-aligned controls and access policies.
- Foundational Design: Design the metadata standards, taxonomy, and workflows needed for future state operations, and establish NZSPA's independent relationship with Archives New Zealand.
Required Expertise: Proven track record in large-scale government agency decoupling, complex digital/physical records migration, and deep knowledge of New Zealand protective security and legislative requirements.
