In this role, you will be the first point of contact for the office, greeting visitors and managing a busy switchboard. Beyond the front desk, you will provide essential administrative support to the wider team, helping to maintain core records and managing incoming and outgoing mail and courier services.
We are looking for a candidate with a warm, approachable personality who can make every visitor feel at home while efficiently handling back-office tasks like office supply management and basic data entry.
A natural understanding of Tikanga Māori is essential for this role, as you will be expected to apply these values in your day-to-day interactions. While not strictly required, an ability to understand Te Reo Māori and a desire to practice correct pronunciation is highly desirable.
Key Requirements
- 1-2 years of previous experience in a reception or front-facing role.
- An understanding of Tikanga Māori and a commitment to practicing it daily in the workplace.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional phone manner.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with CRM systems, Business Central, or SharePoint is a plus.
- The ability to prioritise tasks effectively from managing meeting rooms to processing physical mail and records.
