Due to massive public sector demand, they are seeking a high-caliber sales professional to champion their growth in the capital.
The Role
Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will take full ownership of expanding the client’s footprint across central government, local government, and large enterprise accounts in Wellington.
This is an autonomous, high-activity, solution-focused sales role. You will be responsible for navigating complex public sector frameworks, managing end-to-end tender responses, and establishing long-term, high-value commercial master agreements.
Key Responsibilities:
Public Sector Territory Growth: Proactively identify, target, and secure new high-value service contracts across government agencies and corporate enterprises.
Tender & Bid Management: Lead and manage complex public sector tender opportunities, collaborating with wider service delivery teams to submit winning responses.
Strategic Account Governance: Manage relationships with major new and existing clients, overseeing SLA performance, commercial pricing accuracy, and high-level financial reporting.
CRM Management: Maintain pristine data, pipeline tracking, and campaign logging within Salesforce CRM on a daily basis.
What You Bring:
Government Sector Experience (Essential): Proven experience selling B2B services, professional services, or technology solutions directly into New Zealand government agencies. You must understand public sector procurement and hold an active Wellington network.
Complex Sales Track Record: Demonstrated ability to manage multi-layered B2B sales processes, navigate RFPs/tenders, and negotiate master agreements at an executive level.
High Professional Drive: A self-motivated, results-oriented professional with a strong desire to scale a territory and grow their career alongside the business.
Outstanding Communication: Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Compliance Mindset: Comfort working within highly regulated environments that adhere to strict data security, quality, and health & safety standards.
Prerequisites: A relevant tertiary qualification (Commerce/Business) or equivalent industry experience is preferred. A clear Criminal History Check and a willingness to travel domestically are required.
