We are seeking a candidate with a strong sense of ownership and leadership, along with design experience, particularly in automation, networking, and integration across multiple cloud and on-premise environments.
As a Cloud Engineer, you will be crucial to developing and managing an organisation's cloud infrastructure services. The role focuses on leading continuous delivery and improving infrastructure deployment across multiple cloud platforms.
You'll be a key player in enhancing the Cloud Engineering Capability by driving automation and innovation, particularly through DevOps practices.
The role involves a wide range of tasks, from executing production change requests related to networking, databases, and identity and access management to using tools like Ansible to automate configuration management. You will also manage Kubernetes clusters to optimise resource use and application scalability.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- At least 5 years of experience as a Cloud Engineer or in a similar role.
- A strong background in infrastructure design and management, with experience in both Linux and Windows Server environments.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud)
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Shell, PowerShell, HCL, and YML for automation tasks.
- Experience with containerisation and orchestration tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
- Familiarity with multiple cloud platforms and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible.
- A solid understanding of (CI/CD) concepts and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Relevant certifications, such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA). Kubernetes experience (EKS/AKS/ARO) would be beneficial.
