ABOUT THE ROLE
Our client is looking for an AWS Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to scale geospatial production environments. You'll leverage IaC and automation to enhance DevOps maturity, security, and high availability. This Intermediate or Senior role offers a collaborative setting to manage end-to-end, scalable infrastructure within a cross-functional team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and optimise highly available AWS environments, including EC2, RDS, VPC, and S3.
- Maintain and deploy infrastructure using tools like AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform.
- Support PostgreSQL administration, including maintenance, performance tuning, and geospatial extensions (PostGIS).
- Implement security best practices across AWS IAM, network isolation, and security groups.
- Build and support automated pipelines using GitHub and Python.
- Monitor AWS cost considerations and support cross-region disaster recovery practices.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- At least 3- 5 years in Cloud platform knowledge mainly AWS
- Strong CI/CD experience, especially GitHub Actions
- Experience in maintaining and enhancing of CI/CD pipelines and automation
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g. CDK/Typescript)
- Scripting/automation (Bash, PowerShell, Python, etc.)
- Ability to manage infrastructure and environments day‑to‑day
- Ability to troubleshoot, optimise, and maintain deployment workflows
- Preferably, experience managing and optimising AWS RDS databases (PostgreSQL)
