ABOUT THE ROLE Our client is looking for a Data Engineer to build and refine scalable Azure architectures using Data Factory, Synapse, and Fabric. You will work alongside a Senior Data Engineer, you will serve as a trusted advisor on critical projects, translating complex designs into robust proof-of-concepts and production environments. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive learner to refine their technical expertise and step into leadership.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Deploy and optimise ETL/ELT workflows using Azure Data Factory and Synapse Analytics.
• Manage data lakes and warehouses to ensure structured and unstructured data accessibility.
• Maintain high-performance SQL and NoSQL databases for operational and analytical use.
• Implement data validation and governance frameworks to ensure compliance.
• Partner with BI teams to optimise data structures for Power BI and Tableau.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• At least two years of experience in data engineering and ETL pipeline development.
• Strong proficiency in Python development and writing complex, high-performance SQL queries.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Services including Data Factory and Synapse/Fabric.
• Knowledge of Snowflake architecture, schema design, and performance tuning is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for automating cloud-based data workflows and orchestration.
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and collaborating with cross-functional business teams.
