Machine Learning Operations Engineer
My client is looking to hire an experienced Machine Learning Operations Engineer who will be responsible for providing support to a large portfolio of work. This will be a 3-month contract role based in Wellington.
Responsibilities include:
- Model Deployment & Integration: Build and maintain scalable pipelines for deploying ML models into production; integrate with Snowflake, Airflow, Azure Terraform, dbt, and Docker.
- Monitoring & Governance: Implement drift detection, degradation alerts, and maintain auditability using MLFlow.
- Automation & Efficiency: Automate workflows for training, testing, and deployment with secure approval gates.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with Data Scientists, Engineers, and stakeholders; provide technical leadership within the Model Ops Community of Practice.
- Continuous Improvement: Retrain and update models regularly; promote best practices in version control, testing, and documentation.
- Technical Skills Required: Python (SOLID), SQL
