Role Overview
My client is seeking a skilled and adaptable Mechatronics Engineer to join their growing team. This is a crucial support role, providing backup and expertise in the investigation and repair of faulty manufacturing equipment. The successful candidate will play a key part in helping to assemble, diagnose, and fix issues with spectrograph equipment. This is a full-time position with flexible hours to suit the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
... - Proactively investigate and diagnose faults in manufacturing equipment, from mechanical components to electronic systems.
- Assist with basic design at the system block level and produce detailed reports for existing projects, including measurements, tables, and test reports.
- Provide hands-on support for the assembly of both mechanical and electronic equipment
- Liaise with third-party designers and collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure project success.
- Perform a variety of electronics workshop tasks, utilising a strong skill of hand and practical experience.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in diagnosing and repairing faults in complex manufacturing or engineering equipment.
- A solid understanding of basic system-level design principles.
- Proficiency in producing technical reports, including detailed measurements and test results.
- Strong practical abilities and manual dexterity for electronics workshop tasks.
- An excellent communicator, capable of liaising with external designers and internal team members.
- A strong team player who is open to new ideas and able to work collaboratively across different disciplines.
