The role
Our client is currently undertaking two high-priority fees reviews. While the underlying financial modelling is substantially complete, they require an expert specialist to manage the formal documentation and navigation through the legislative and Cabinet process.
This is a contract until June.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end drafting and process management of the following:
Cabinet Papers: Drafting clear, concise papers for Ministerial and Committee submission.
Consultation Documents: Preparing high-quality materials for public and stakeholder consultation.
Cost Recovery Impact Statement (CRIS): Developing a robust CRIS that meets all Treasury and regulatory requirements.
Project Roadmap: Drafting and managing a detailed project plan to ensure the review hits the target deadline for Ministerial submission in late April / early May.
About you
This role requires a "plug-and-play" contractor at a Principal level who can operate with minimal supervision.
Essential Experience:
Advanced Drafting: Proven track record of producing Cabinet-ready documentation and complex consultation papers.
Process Expertise: Deep, current knowledge of the Cabinet and Parliamentary process, including the staging of regulatory changes.
Cost Recovery Knowledge: Familiarity with the principles of cost recovery and the technical requirements of a CRIS.
Delivery Focused: Ability to quickly synthesize existing financial data into policy narratives under tight timeframes.
