You will be educating visitors hiking through Tāmaki Makaurau/Auckland’s tracks and traveling to the Hauraki Gulf Islands on the importance of preventing the spread of pests and diseases. As a Biosecurity Champion, you will provide friendly education and advice to increase awareness of these issues, and the positive action we can all take individually. This is an important role that will allow you to be an advocate for Tāmaki Makaurau/Auckland’s natural environment, taonga and our collective wellbeing. With the potential for ongoing work into 2022, this is the perfect opportunity to take on exciting summer work and kick-start your new year. One of the ways they collect data is through face to face surveys and interviews. In this role you would be approaching people in Northern Christchurch to complete a survey on their experiences on the new Northern Corridor Highway.Start Date: 16th of November (2-3 weeks temp)Hours: 16.30 - 20.30 (4 hours each evening, but 1 half hours of this will be paid travel)Pay rate: $21 per hour + 8% holiday pay.
