sap test manager - 1 year contract.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Test Manager for a 1 year contract. This is a unique opportunity to join a multi-disciplinary Programme Team in a large and complex government environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategy & Leadership: Establish, strategize, plan, and manage the Programme and Project Test Practice, including developing and implementing the overarching Programme Test Strategy.

• Hands-on Testing: Actively participate in the design, development, and execution of test plans, scenarios, cases, and scripts for various Work Packages.

• Test Automation: Identify opportunities for, and implement, test automation to build coverage and efficiency.

• Tooling & Standards: Conduct options analysis and selection of appropriate Test Tools; ensure adherence to quality assurance standards, guidelines, and legislation.

• Specialised Testing: Lead testing efforts for SAP and Non-SAP software, Data ETL activities, and User Access Testing.

• Quality & Defect Management: Oversee the entire Defect Management process and provide clear, concise Test Reporting on outcomes, issues, and risks.

• Collaboration: Work closely with Project Managers and the Programme Team on requirements, solution design, and deployment activities.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Demonstrable experience in establishing and implementing Programme-level Test Strategies and methodologies.

• Proven hands-on Test Execution in SAP applications.

• Experience in Test Execution for Data ETL activities and User Access Testing.

• Very strong analytical, planning, and organisational skills.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

• Experience with Test Automation and contemporary defect management tools/practices.

• Experience working on large-scale programmes (e.g., greater than $10m)

• Non-functional testing experience, including security/cyber related testing.

• Understanding of logistics processes
