Are you an experienced finance administrator with a keen eye for detail and a knack for meeting deadlines? A respected consultancy which supports the public, not-for-profit, and private sectors across New Zealand, Australia, the Pacific, and Asia, is seeking a Senior Finance Administrator to join their Wellington team!
This full-time, fixed-term (3 months) role is based in their Wellington office, with the flexibility to work from home up to two days a week once onboarding is complete. You'll report to the Group Finance Manager, providing essential financial support to the consultancy firm across their Wellington and Melbourne offices. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform monthly analysis and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
- Handle transactional processing, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Undertake project analysis, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Manage bank accounts, debtors, and creditors to ensure accurate balances and timely payments/collections.
- Reconcile sub-contractor accruals, invoicing, and expenses.
- Maintain and improve financial processes and controls.
- Assist with the transition to a new finance system - Xero
- Provide prompt and appropriate responses to internal and external customer and supplier enquiries.
What we're looking for:
- Proven accounts experience in a similar role with a strong focus on month-end deadlines and accuracy.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and experience with various accounting systems.
- Sound knowledge of accounting principles and the ability to analyse and reconcile accounts with excellent attention to detail.
- A strong communicator who can work both independently and as part of a team.
- Highly organised and capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Self-motivated and driven.
