The Opportunity
We are seeking a strategic Senior Project Manager to lead a significant organisational change workstream within a major government property programme. You will be responsible for defining how the agency works in a modernised property environment, ensuring the transition is seamless, user-centric, and sustainable.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management: Manage the day to day project
- Operating Model Design: Lead the development and implementation of a new target operating model (TOM) tailored to a modernised property context.
- Service Design: Facilitate workshops to design end-to-end services that align with the new physical environments, legislative changes, new ways of working and digital capabilities.
- Change Management: Drive the strategic change roadmap, focusing on business readiness, impact assessments, and culture shift.
- Stakeholder Leadership: Navigate complex stakeholder landscapes, working closely with Senior Leadership Teams (SLT) to gain buy-in for structural and behavioral change.
- Integration: Ensure the change activities are tightly integrated with the wider property and IT workstreams.
About You
To excel in this role, you will bring:
- Proven Change Expertise: Extensive experience managing projects in Organisational Change (OCM) and Operating Model change within the New Zealand Public Sector.
- Service Design Mindset: A background in using human-centered design principles to solve complex operational problems.
- Property Fluency: While this isn't a construction role, experience in a property context or workspace transformation is highly advantageous.
- Strategic & Practical: The ability to pivot from high-level strategic planning to the "boots on the ground" execution of change activities.
- Leadership: Strong negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to manage ambiguity in a high-pressure environment.
