Data Architect - Contract - Central Auckland
The Role Overview
We are seeking a Systems Architect with a strong Data background to join a high-performing team. You will provide critical architecture guidance, working closely with Product Owners and Engineers to shape the technical landscape. Join a leading organization in Central Auckland and drive high-level design excellence.
Role Details:
- Term: Initial contract to 30 June 2026 (Strong extension potential)
- Working Model: Hybrid Working (3 days office / 2 days WFH)
- Start Date: ASAP Start
About the Role
- Guide: Provide expert architecture guidance to Product Owners and Engineers on key technical questions.
- Design: Update and develop High-Level Designs (HLD) and Software Architecture Documents (SAD).
- Mentor: Support engineers in developing their design skills and architectural thinking.
- Align: Collaborate with the Principal Architect to ensure consistency with the broader technology landscape.
- Deliver: Drive architectural outcomes within a fast-paced Data ART environment.
Skills & Experience Required
- Architecture Expert: Proven experience as a Systems or Data Architect on large-scale projects.
- Data Background: Strong technical understanding of data landscapes and engineering patterns.
- Design Literacy: Expert at developing SADs and high-level design documentation.
- Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with Product Owners and technical engineering teams.
- Agile Delivery: Experience working within an ART or scaled agile environment.
