Are you a senior finance leader ready to build and shape operations from the ground up? As a global FMCG powerhouse expands into New Zealand, we are looking for a Head of Finance (Finance Manager) to lead our local full-cycle financial operations, establish robust internal controls, and drive strategic manufacturing cost management.

- Permanent, full-time leadership position
- Based in Pokeno, Waikato
- Priority vacancy with immediate start available
In this role, you will take full ownership of our NZ accounting, tax compliance, and financial systems as we establish our regional presence. - Build internal controls, ensure local IRD tax compliance, and manage relationships with external auditors, financial partners, and regulatory authorities.
- Establish manufacturing cost-reduction frameworks and partner across departments to optimise product costing and variance analysis.
- Direct annual budgeting, cash flow forecasting, treasury management, and financial risk governance.
- Drive digitalisation by leading the setup and automation of financial IT systems (e.g., SAP, U9) to eliminate operational redundancies.
What We’re Looking For
- 5–7+ years of total finance experience, with at least 2 years of proven, hands-on experience in New Zealand financial, tax, and accounting standards.
- Deep industry expertise in large-scale FMCG or manufacturing environments (Food, Dairy, or consumer goods preferred) with specialist-level knowledge in cost modules.
- Relevant Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting alongside recognised professional accounting qualifications.
- Hands-on proficiency with enterprise systems like SAP, U9, or Express, ideally with experience in system implementation or workflow digitisation.
- Exceptional communication skills - bilingual fluency in English and Mandarin is highly preferred to interface seamlessly with China HQ, however not required
