The successful candidate will be responsible for domestic and international freight forwarding and shipping processes and documentation. This role ensures thousands of critical components are at the right place at the right time for internal customers (Buying, Planning, Warehousing, Production, and others). You will work closely with Order Fulfillment Planners and the Warehousing team to maintain the flow of materials for the Electron launch vehicle.

You will be responsible for the timely and compliant movement of goods. Your core duties will include:
... Shipping Documentation: Preparing and processing essential import/export paperwork, including Commercial Invoices, SLI’s, Packing Lists, and Bills of Lading.
Customs Compliance: Searching for, determining, and accurately applying HS Codes to ensure compliance.
Freight Management: Selecting the most appropriate mode of transport for export/import and maintaining a good working relationship with freight forwarders and shipping lines.
Dangerous Goods Handling: Identifying and shipping Dangerous Goods appropriately, adhering to relevant regulations.
Workflow Support: Managing high-volume workloads and ensuring all shipments make it from goods inwards to their final location in a timely manner.
Warehousing Assistance: Assisting Inwards Goods with receipting stock when necessary.
Communication: Ensuring information is communicated in a timely manner to relevant internal stakeholders.
About You
We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented professional with practical experience in import/export logistics who can thrive in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate brings:
Experience: 1+ years of previous relevant logistics experience.
Technical Proficiency: Practical experience in the provision and completion of Commercial Invoices, SLI’s, Packing Slips, Bills of Lading, and HS Codes.
Process Knowledge: A working knowledge of Import/Export processes and the ability to maintain meticulous attention to detail, ensuring all documentation is accurate and in line with SOP’s.
Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, a can-do attitude, good organizational skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with your team.
Adaptability: Proven experience working in a high pressure, high tempo environment, managing volume while maintaining quality and composure.
IT Skills: A strong understanding of MS Office software.
Preferred Candidate Experience
While not mandatory, the following attributes are highly advantageous:
Knowledge of ERP systems (LN, SAP etc.).
Exposure to ITAR international shipping regulations.
IATA / IMDG Dangerous Goods knowledge/certification.
Physically fit and able to carry out manual labour duties required to prepare shipments.
NZ Drivers License (with F & D Endorsements preferable).
