What You'll Do:
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the ultimate deliverables, including sales and revenue growth across New Zealand for our Branded and Culinary portfolios. You’ll be the driving force behind market expansion, using your industry expertise to navigate food product development cycles and negotiate major commercial contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute annual sales strategies and marketing plans to maximise market share and profitability.
- Manage and nurture relationships within a specific account set, focusing on expanding the company's branded presence within the retail sector.
- Actively seek new accounts and develop a strong sales pipeline for both existing and new
- Provide mentoring, direction, and professional development to a team of experienced sales professionals.
- Partner with R&D, Supply Chain, and Finance to ensure commercial viability and smooth product implementation.
- Monitor key metrics regarding revenue generation, margin maintenance, and customer retention.
About You:
We are looking for a commercial heavyweight who balances a "can-do" attitude with sharp analytical skills. You should be a natural influencer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a deep understanding of the branded retail landscape.
To be eligible for this role, you should have:
- 8+ years in the food manufacturing industry.
- Specific experience in managing major commercial and retail clients.
- 3+ years of experience leading and coaching a team of sales professionals.
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications or equivalent senior-level experience.
- Proven success in sales budget setting, forecasting, and delivering commercially viable outcomes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); Google Suite experience is preferred.
- Exceptional verbal and written skills for high-level stakeholder management and reporting.
