We are looking for a hands-on Senior Quality Engineer experience in Performance testing , Automation & DevSecOps to take ownership of software quality across high-impact projects. In this role, you will define test strategies, build scalable automation frameworks, and maintain top-tier application performance inside a modern DevSecOps pipeline.
DUTIES
- Lead end-to-end quality strategy, test architecture, and quality governance for client engagements.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
- Plan and execute performance, load, and stress testing to ensure systems scale securely and efficiently.
- Collaborate closely with Development, Security, and Ops teams to embed security and quality controls early in the SDLC.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years in senior software testing or QA consulting roles.
- Strong proficiency in frameworks like Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or Appium, plus proficiency in languages like Python, Java, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Solid hands-on experience with tools like JMeter, k6, or Gatling.
- Deep familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins) and embedding security checks into automated pipelines.
- Experience with AI-assisted testing tools and frameworks.(added advantage)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to guide clients through quality transformations.
- Experience working within Financial Services, Government, Insurance, or Enterprise Digital Transformation programmes in NZ.
