ABOUT THE ROLEWe are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to be based in Wellington. You will play a key role in designing, managing, and improving system platforms that support critical operational and public-facing services. Working across a hybrid environment, you will drive automation, build CI/CD pipelines, and maintain secure, top-performing Microsoft Azure and on-premises infrastructure. You will also guide team members and support best practices across security and system setup KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and manage secure enterprise systems across cloud and on-premises platforms.
• Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD automation pipelines using Git-based source control.
• Handle security hardening, vulnerability management, system monitoring, and incident response.
• Manage IIS administration, including website deployment, performance tuning, and SSL certificates.
• Monitor system capacity, improve platform performance, and support day-to-day delivery.
• Guide team members, review technical work, and promote clean infrastructure practices.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• 5+ years of experience managing secure, large-scale enterprise systems.
• Strong skills with hybrid platforms, specifically Microsoft Azure and on-premises environments.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation tools, and continuous delivery.
• Good knowledge of Windows and Linux servers, virtual systems, and basic networking.
• Practical experience managing Microsoft IIS, web applications, and SSL certificates.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a clear, team-first communication style.
