• Extensive experience (5+ years) with solution/technical architecture particularly in the government sector and/or a service-oriented environment
• 10+ years ICT experience
• Demonstrated extensive experience in the architecture design and delivery of complex or leading edge digital solutions
• Proven technology leadership skills to mentor and guide other architects
• Demonstrated commercial experience in working with multiple vendors and the vendor selection process
• Demonstrated experience in contributing to digital architecture strategies, standards and road-maps

• A strong architecture background in one or more of the following technical domains: data, software, infrastructure, security, network, integration, identity, cloud
• Proven understanding and experience of Agile, Project Management methodologies, and System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) principles and practice
• A thorough understanding of architecture development framework, architecture modelling, principles and good practices, including All-of-Government standards, and producing high quality architecture artefacts
• Understanding of business’s needs, system functionality and business processes
• Ability to apply abstract concepts in innovative ways to solve business and technology problems, while still maintaining attention to detail and aligning with these with the wider Department strategies and Enterprise Architecture
• A flexible approach and responsiveness to new ideas and activities, demonstrated by willingness to take on new challenges, roles and responsibilities

• Tertiary qualification(s) in relevant discipline(s) and/or equivalent experience
• The ability to obtain and maintain a CONFIDENTIAL security clearance
• Cloud Solution Architect certificate, TOGAF or similar Architecture specific certificate or equivalent experience
