About the Role
Join a team focused on digital excellence for a major consumer platform in the highly engaging enthusiast product space. This contract role requires a dedicated Senior UI/UX Designer to elevate the platform's visual presence and user experience, ensuring world-class execution and adherence to a meticulous design system. You will be a crucial link between product strategy and engineering reality, focusing on holistic, high-fidelity, accessible, and scalable design solutions.
Duties
...- Drive the end-to-end design process, focusing equally on User Interface (UI) aesthetics and User Experience (UX) flow and usability.
- Apply expertise in Figma to contribute to and maintain a centralized, scalable Design System, ensuring consistency across all user touchpoints.
- Focus on high-fidelity visual design while ensuring all solutions are backed by sound UX principles and meet strict accessibility standards.
- Manage the design-to-development handover, including clear documentation of both visual specs and interaction design.
- Drive the recurring custom design, styles, and components for key product pages based on user needs.
- Engage in strong collaboration with Product and Engineering teams, synthesizing research and business goals into effective designs.
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven proficiency in both UI design (visuals, interaction) and UX design (information architecture, user flow, wireframing).
- Extensive, hands-on experience using Figma in a professional environment.
- Demonstrable experience contributing to or maintaining a robust Design System.
- A strong portfolio showcasing high-fidelity UI/UX work and system components is mandatory.
- Excellent ability to manage competing priorities and communicate design rationale effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience integrating user research and testing into the design process.
