We are seeking a Senior Automation Test Engineer with domain expertise in Cards, Payments, or ATM switching to join a critical project in Central Auckland. In this consultative contract role, you will be responsible for driving automation strategy and ensuring the reliability of high-volume financial transaction systems. We are looking for a proactive specialist who can provide expert-level QA guidance in a fast-paced environment.

Role Details:

• Term: 6 Months Contract (High extension potential)

• Working Model: Hybrid Working (3 days office / 2 days WFH)

• Start Date: ASAP Start

• Process: 1 Round Interview

About the Role

• Strategy: Develop and maintain automation frameworks tailored for complex payment and transaction workflows.

• Execution: Validate ATM switching, card lifecycles, and real-time transaction processing.

• Consult: Provide expert-level testing advice to project stakeholders and engineering squads.

• Optimise: Identify opportunities to improve test coverage and reduce manual intervention through automation.

• Collaborate: Work within a cross-functional team to ensure all systems meet strict industry compliance and security standards.

Skills & Experience Required

• Domain Expertise: Solid background in Cards, ATM, or Payment systems is essential.

• Automation Engineering: Strong hands-on experience building and maintaining automated test suites.

• Consultative Approach: Proven ability to work autonomously and advise on QA best practices.

• Transaction Logic: Understanding of financial message flows and payment processing environments.

• Quality Mindset: A proactive approach to identifying risks and ensuring 100% system uptime.
