Data Technical Lead - Auckland
Are you a skilled EDRMS Tech Management professional with a passion for leveraging technology to create real-world impact? A unique and challenging opportunity awaits a talented Information Management Technical Lead to join a high-performing Technology Services team in a leading Auckland-based organization. This role is crucial for leading the development and maintenance of industry-standard document and records management solutions.
This is a chance to provide specialist advice and leadership within an Agile Release Train (ART) , translating emerging trends into forward-looking solutions. You will be instrumental in ensuring the EDRMS platform is maintained using best practices and is optimized for performance, stability, and scalability. This role isn't just about technology, it's about providing expert, trusted advice that enables customers to navigate their document and records management needs securely and effectively.
The Opportunity
As the EDRMS Tech Lead, you will be the key lead for the EDRMS platform, collaborating with product owners, product managers, and system architects to implement product roadmaps. You'll act as a trusted advisor and will be recognized as such by the team and ART. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing subject matter expertise to the ART, advising on how emerging technologies can be leveraged to support future business needs.
- Championing opportunities for continuous improvement, whether they are process or technology-focused, to drive greater value across the delivery lifecycle.
- Communicating complex issues to a range of stakeholders and inspiring others by clearly articulating the purpose and benefits of proposed initiatives.
- Leading and supporting the implementation of long-term solutions that address root causes and deliver ongoing benefits.
Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will have experience in a complex technology environment, ideally within a similarly complex organization.
Key Requirements:
- Expert experience with SharePoint Online and SharePoint Server, including SPFx, workflows, lists, libraries, metadata management, and the implementation of communication and label policies.
- Proven experience in leading the delivery of and supporting large-scale EDRMS solution migrations is highly advantageous.
- Solid working knowledge of ITIL and Microsoft technologies, including SharePoint Advanced Management, Purview, Power Platform, and Power Automate.
- High level of experience with SharePoint REST API, Microsoft Graph API, and PowerShell scripting.
- Exposure to scaled Agile delivery frameworks (e.g., SAFe) with experience working as part of an Agile Release Train (ART) or cross-functional delivery team.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with scanning and digitization technologies.
- Experience with OpenText ECM Suite is desirable.

- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusted relationships across teams and with stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working independently or in a collaborative Agile team environment.
- Strong attention to detail, with well-developed analytical and problem-solving abilities.
