Are you an experienced Network Engineer who thrives on solving complex problems, sharing knowledge, and delivering exceptional customer outcomes?
I’m working with a well-established organisation that’s looking for a Level 2 Network Engineer with solid experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC) environment. You’ll be joining a collaborative, purpose-driven team that plays a vital role in supporting New Zealand’s network infrastructure through innovative connectivity and digital services.
As a key member of the technical operations team, you’ll act as the senior escalation point for technical issues, lead fault resolution efforts, and drive service improvement and knowledge sharing. Your expertise will directly enhance customer satisfaction and support the successful rollout of new technologies.
What You’ll Be Doing
Take the lead on resolving technically challenging customer support issues (approximately 80% of your time)
Contribute to project-based work, including new technology deployments and incident remediation (approximately 20%)
Act as a technical SME for internal Level 1 support teams and external ICT providers
Mentor and train support staff and partners to build their confidence and capability
Support the transition of new services and help refine support processes and documentation
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in a customer-facing technical support or network operations role
Strong working knowledge of switching, routing, and firewalls
Hands-on experience with Cisco and/or Fortinet networking equipment
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex issues into clear, actionable solutions
Familiarity with Google products and services
A commitment to continuous improvement and a focus on delivering excellent customer experiences
Desirable: CCNP or Fortinet NSE 5 certification
