The Role: Critical Infrastructure Delivery
This position involves the end-to-end deployment, configuration, and optimisation of core network security services as part of a major national infrastructure upgrade.
Your expertise will be critical in ensuring the seamless and secure delivery of advanced digital environments, directly contributing to the reliability and safety for thousands of users across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities:
... Execute high-quality core network security platform deployments as part of a national upgrade schedule.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex network security and integration challenges (WAN/LAN).
Collaborate with solution architects and delivery teams to ensure technical solutions align with design standards.
Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to delivery tracking and reporting.
Technical Expertise Required
We are seeking proven, strong technical experience in the following areas:
Security Platform Deployment: Substantial hands-on experience in executing large-scale network security platform rollouts or upgrades is essential.
Next-Gen Security Platforms: Deep operational knowledge and deployment experience with market-leading security solutions (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA/FTD).
Core Networking: Expert-level understanding of WAN and LAN technologies, routing protocols, and how they interact in complex, distributed environments.
Delivery Focus: Proven ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with a strong commitment to meeting project deadlines.
Engagement Details
This opportunity is based in Auckland CBD, operating under a hybrid working model. The role is scheduled to start in January 2026 and will initially be a Fixed-Term contract of 6 months. Importantly, there is a strong likelihood of extension and/or transition to a permanent full-time engagement based on performance and ongoing program needs.
