The Role: Principal Developer
As a Principal Developer, you will bridge the gap between high-level architecture and hands-on implementation. You will be responsible for the integrity and scalability of cloud-native applications, mentoring engineers and setting the standard for technical excellence.
What You Will Do:
- Lead the design and development of scalable, resilient applications using TypeScript and AWS.
- Architect cloud infrastructure using AWS CDK, ensuring best practices in Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Mentor and provide technical leadership to cross-functional engineering teams.
- Drive the adoption of modern CI/CD workflows to enable continuous, reliable delivery.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into high-performing technical solutions.
What You Will Bring:
We are looking for a seasoned expert with a deep understanding of the modern JavaScript ecosystem and cloud environments.
- Valid NZ work rights.
- Expertise in TypeScript and building complex, enterprise-grade applications.
- Advanced experience with AWS services and a proven track record using AWS CDK.
- Proven Leadership experience, having upheld high standards of integrity and quality in fast-paced, agile environments.
- Proactive Mindset for problem-solving and consistently seeking ways to improve performance.
