The Role

We are seeking multiple highly skilled Automation Testers based in Auckland to join a fast-paced quality assurance team on a large, multi-year programme of work.

These urgent requirements offer an initial 6-month contract starting in October, focusing heavily on complex banking and payment processing ecosystems using Playwright/Selenium.

Key Duties

• End-to-End Automation: Design, build, and execute robust automated test scripts utilizing Playwright or Selenium combined with C# or Java.
• API Validation: Perform comprehensive API testing to ensure seamless integration, security, and data flow within payment gateways.
• Mobile & Web Testing: Drive test automation for responsive web platforms and native mobile applications across both iOS and Android.
• Domain Application: Apply deep functional knowledge of banking and payment systems to identify critical edge cases and complex defects.
• Quality Collaboration: Work closely with engineering teams to embed quality and automated testing into continuous delivery pipelines.

Skills & Experience Required

• Urgent Availability: Due to project urgency, we can only consider candidates who are available immediately or have a maximum 2-week notice period.
• Tech Stack Mastery: Mandatory commercial experience building automation frameworks using Playwright or Selenium paired with C# or Java.
• Domain Knowledge: Strong commercial experience testing within the Banking and Payments domains.
• API & Mobile Expertise: Hands-on proficiency in API testing/validation and automating tests for native mobile applications (iOS and Android).
• Location: Must be based in Auckland with the right to work in New Zealand.
