Senior Fullstack Engineer - Contract
Join a leading enterprise as a Senior Fullstack Engineer to design and implement critical API orchestration layers and modern service architectures. We are seeking a highly specialized contributor proficient in the .NET framework, GraphQL, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). This role involves deep collaboration with a cross-functional app team in a hybrid environment. Key Responsibilities & Focus
The successful candidate will be a hands-on technical engineer, responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing the core service architecture.
...- Architect and Develop: High-performance API orchestration layers using the .NET framework.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Provision and manage scalable infrastructure using Terraform.
- Orchestration & Deployment: Manage containerized environments utilizing Kubernetes to ensure high availability and scalability.
- Data Integration: Work extensively with GraphQL (specifically Apollo GraphQL and Module Federation) to manage data flow and third-party service integration.
- DevOps: Develop and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps and GitHub to ensure seamless deployment.
- Quality & Security: Ensure high code quality and security through tools like SonarQube and industry-standard security practices.
- Collaboration: Work effectively with cross-functional mobile and platform teams on integrated solutions.
What You'll Bring
- Platform Proficiency: Strong, proven proficiency in the .NET framework is required.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), specifically using Terraform.
- Containerization: Practical experience deploying and managing services within Kubernetes.
- GraphQL Expertise: Deep expertise in working with GraphQL (Apollo GraphQL, Module Federation).
- DevOps & Git: Solid understanding of Git fundamentals and practical experience with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub.
- Code Quality: Experience using code security and quality tools like SonarQube.
Beneficial Skills
- Cloud & Observability: Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure) and observability tools (Dynatrace).
- Modern Workflow: Experience with AI developer tools (GitHub Copilot) and a passion for mentorship/pair-programming.
- Security Tooling: Experience with security tools such as Orca or Snyk.
Location & Engagement
- Location: Central Auckland, New Zealand (Hybrid)
- Start Date: Candidates with a notice period are welcome to apply; we are looking to fill this role as soon as possible.
- Engagement: Initial 6-month contract with a high likelihood of extension.
