You will play a key role in shaping and delivering channels and integration technology roadmaps, guiding cross-functional teams through complex governance and strategic decisions.
This position is offered as a 2-year fixed-term contract (salaried pro-rata) with the potential for future extension.
Key Duties
- Stakeholder Leadership: Engage, influence, and negotiate with business stakeholders and vendors, guiding them through architecture designs, governance, and approvals.
- Strategic Design: Break down complex business needs and translate them into high-level solution designs, future-state architectures, and option assessments.
- Shape the Future: Evaluate and recommend solutions that perfectly align with overarching strategic goals and target platforms.
- Embed Best Practice: Collaborate globally with Enterprise Architects to develop reusable patterns and embed best practices across the organization.
- Navigate Ambiguity: Provide clear technology leadership and deal confidently with evolving standards and ambiguity in a highly regulated landscape.
Skills & Experience Required
- Soft Skills & Influence (Crucial): Exceptional communication skills with a proven track record of stakeholder engagement at multiple levels. You must be able to confidently influence decision-making and build consensus.
- Architecture Expertise: Proven experience as a Solution Architect within medium-to-large enterprise environments (Banking or Financial Services domain knowledge is highly regarded).
- Technical Mastery: Expert understanding of modern integration technologies including RESTful APIs, microservice architectures, event-driven architecture, SaaS integration, and API security (OAuth, OIDC).
- Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving abilities with a commitment to quality and attention to detail.
- Advantageous (Nice to have): Previous background as an integration engineer/full-stack developer, modern cloud platform experience (AWS, GCP, Azure), knowledge of BIAN, and awareness of cybersecurity threats.
