The Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join a high-growth Gaming studio. You will lead a complete infrastructure reshape, applying software engineering to operations to scale high-performance systems. Join a leading Digital Entertainment brand in Central Auckland and drive technical transformation.
Role Details:
- Term: 6 Months Contract (High extension potential)
- Working Model: Hybrid Working (3 days office / 2 days WFH)
- Start Date: ASAP Start
- Process: 1 Round Interview
About the Role
- Architect: Highly reliable, scalable production systems within AWS environments.
- Automate: Eliminate operational toil by developing custom tooling and workflows.
- Manage: Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Observe: Implement robust metrics, tracing, and alerting to improve system health.
- Validate: Perform chaos engineering and failure testing to ensure resilience.
Skills & Experience Required
- Cloud Expert: Hands-on experience scaling production AWS environments.
- Engineering: Strong coding skills in Python, Go, or Java.
- Containers: Expertise with Docker, Kubernetes, or ECS orchestration.
- IaC: Proficient in Terraform or similar infrastructure automation.
- SRE Tools: Solid grasp of SLO/SLI design and observability stacks.
