We’re working with an enterprise organisation that’s seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join their Information Architecture team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in advancing data-focused transformation projects that are critical to the organisation’s long-term success.

The Opportunity

In this contract position, you'll join a collaborative, high-performing team responsible for maintaining and evolving a centralised Curated Dataset. Your role will involve enabling better data quality, governance, and accessibility across decentralised teams. You'll be instrumental in gathering, analysing, and converting business needs into detailed technical requirements -contributing to the development of scalable and reliable data solutions.

Working closely with data architects, engineers, and product owners, you'll help ensure seamless alignment between business goals and technical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse and document business requirements with clarity and precision.
• Translate those requirements into actionable technical specifications.
• Identify opportunities for data-driven process improvement.
• Support data integration initiatives and ensure quality assurance of data products.
• Maintain documentation for business processes and data mappings.
• Act as a bridge between business and technical stakeholders to support effective collaboration.

About You

• Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst in data-driven or large enterprise settings.
• Proficiency with data tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and SQL.
• Comfortable working in Agile environments.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to develop data models and write clear technical specifications (Python notebook experience is an advantage)
• Skilled in problem-solving and producing high-quality documentation.

Bonus Points For

• Experience with data architecture or metadata management
  
• Familiarity with enterprise-level data ecosystems.
