Automation Test Engineer (Playwright & TypeScript)
The Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Automation Test Engineer for a high-impact, 6-month contract in Auckland. You will be responsible for the end-to-end design and implementation of BDD-driven automation frameworks. This role requires a technical specialist who can handle complex test scenarios and provide leadership within the testing lifecycle.
Role Details:
- Term: 6 Months (Chance of extension)
- Working Model: Hybrid (3 days office / 2 days WFH)
- Start Date: Immediate
About the Role
- Architect: Design, create, and implement robust BDD-driven automation frameworks from the ground up.
- Develop: Hands-on scripting using MS Playwright with TypeScript.
- Integrate: Execute comprehensive Restful and SOAP API testing.
- Mentor: Provide leadership and technical mentoring to the wider testing team.
- Design: Create and execute complex test scenarios for enterprise-level SaaS applications.
Skills & Experience Required
- Playwright Expert: Deep hands-on experience with MS Playwright using TypeScript.
- BDD Mastery: Proven track record in BDD framework design and implementation.
- API Testing: Solid experience in both Restful and SOAP API validation.
- Leadership: Ability to lead testing initiatives and mentor junior/mid-level engineers.
- SaaS Experience: Previous experience testing cloud-based enterprise SaaS applications (preferred).
