This is a varied position where no two days look the same. Bringing accuracy, care, and curiosity to a wide range of HR activities, you will provide organized support across the entire employee lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the internal HR helpdesk inbox, ensuring all staff queries are answered or triaged efficiently with a helpful, supportive approach.
Draft and coordinate essential employment documentation, formal communications, and letters, ensuring professionalism and accuracy.
Keep HR information systems (HRIS) up-to-date, maintaining flawless staff records and aligning processes with internal policies.
Facilitate the end-to-end onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure smooth transitions for joining and departing team members.
Collaborate closely with the wider People team to input transactions and new starter variations, contributing to seamless fortnightly payroll processing.
What Our Client Is Looking For:
Experience: A relevant qualification or practical, hands-on experience in a generalist HR support or coordination role.
HR Knowledge: A solid grounding in foundational HR practices and New Zealand employment legislation.
Capability: Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment without losing attention to detail.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills and a natural ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of an organisation.
Cultural Competence: A strong comfort level, respect for, and willingness to engage with multicultural workplace practices and language protocols (including correct pronunciation and everyday cultural awareness).
Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite and standard HR information systems.
Eligibility: Valid rights to work in New Zealand.
