IT Operations Analyst
The Opportunity
We are seeking an organised IT Operations Analyst to join a tight-knit IT Operations and Security team within the financial services sector.
You will act as the crucial first point of contact for incoming IT requests, providing high-quality Level 1 support and routing complex work to ensure the right tasks reach the right technical specialists. This is an exceptional opportunity for a junior to intermediate professional with an IT helpdesk background looking to progressively build a career across the enterprise infrastructure and security domains.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, triage, and manage incoming IT requests across shared mailboxes, Slack channels, and support queues.
- Provide Level 1 support for Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive) and resolve common desktop/laptop issues.
- Assess, prioritise, and route urgent or complex work to the appropriate Infrastructure, Operations, or Security team members.
- Assist senior team members with routine user account administration, access requests, and maintaining standard operating procedures.
- Support compliance with ISO/IEC 27001 information security policies and promptly report any security incidents or policy breaches.
Skills and Experience Required
- Junior to intermediate experience in an IT Support or Service Desk environment.
- Hands-on exposure to Microsoft 365, Windows desktop environments, and basic networking concepts.
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to assess and prioritise competing requests.
- A customer-focused, patient approach with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A genuine interest in continuous learning and building capability in cloud technology and information security principles.
