The Role
As a Lead Frontend Engineer, you will work across product development, web platforms, and internal tools to manage the user experience across the company's digital portfolio. This multi-surface role focuses on both system functionality and interface design.
- Frontend Management: Overseeing the user interface across external products, marketing websites, and internal systems.
- Technical Direction: Leading frontend implementation decisions and contributing to technical strategy within a cross-functional team.
- System Integration: Developing interfaces that expose backend capabilities as functional product features.
- UI/UX Collaboration: Working alongside product and design functions to refine user flows, interactions, and general usability.
- Full-Lifecycle Engineering: Managing the deployment lifecycle from conceptual design through to production support, debugging, and optimization.
- Workflow Optimization: Balancing structured project delivery with business-as-usual (BAU) support and identifying frontend performance bottlenecks.
Key Requirements
- Experience: 5–10 years of experience developing modern, production-grade web applications or platforms.
- Core Skills: Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
- Frameworks & Architecture: Professional experience with modern frontend frameworks (such as React or Vue), UI state management, and REST/GraphQL APIs.
- Component Design: Ability to build reusable UI components and patterns compatible across multiple surfaces.
- Workflows: Experience with Git, CI/CD environments, responsive design, and ensuring cross-browser compatibility.
- Approach: A pragmatic approach to engineering, with the ability to context-switch between distinct projects and systematically improve legacy or imperfect codebases.
- Additional Skills: Practical experience with WordPress (themes and plugins), alongside an understanding of web performance, accessibility, and SEO best practices.
This position offers significant technical ownership and technical influence without management responsibilities, within a collaborative engineering environment.
