RPA Developer - UiPath
...
About the Role
This is a 6-month contract based in Auckland with genuine scope for what follows. This position is focused on the end-to-end lifecycle of Enterprise Automation. While many roles focus on Excel-based data capture, we are looking for an expert who can prioritize unattended Automation and architectural rigor over simple 'attended' scripts or manual data entry workflows. The current project sits across back-office and operational process automation. Once delivered successfully, the business is positioned to extend that work into additional ERP systems across the organisation.
For now, the mandate is clear: own the automation build end to end.
Responsibilities:
- Designing and building UiPath workflows from scratch, not inheriting someone else’s work.
- Setting up and running unattended bots. Background automation with no human in the loop.
- Integrating with ERP and desktop applications.
- Data warehouse lookups.
- Establishing a GitHub repository and CI/CD pipeline from the ground up.
- Documenting to a standard that a non-technical support team can own and maintain post-handover.
Working arrangement:
First month daily onsite present at Mt Wellington, Auckland to learn the bespoke desktop app. After that, 3 days from the office.
Requirements:
- Valid NZ work rights.
- Hands-on UiPath development across both attended and unattended bot configuration (non-negotiable).
- Proven experience building RPA from scratch, not just maintaining existing workflows
- GitHub setup and CI/CD pipeline experience.
- Ability to map business processes and translate them into automated solutions
- Strong documentation and knowledge-transfer skills. You build for the next person, not just yourself.
Benefits:
- Weekly pay
- Real autonomy. You’ll design and build, not execute a pre-defined spec.
- Approved roadmap with budget confirmed. The work is ready to go on day one.
- Free parking, motorway access, no CBD commute.
- Clear line of sight to further project scope for the right contractor
