The Role
As a Contract Senior Artworker, you will take ownership of the technical execution, formatting, and brand-alignment for the business-critical Contracts of Insurance Project. This hands-on, high-volume role involves updating over 600 long-form documents—including Policy Wordings and Interactive Forms—ensuring absolute accuracy and brand consistency across multiple distinct portfolios.
Key responsibilities include:
- Document Rollout Management: Overseeing the formatting, updating, and brand alignment of 600+ multi-page, copy-heavy insurance documents.
- Template & Style Sheet Mastery: Building and rigorously applying nested paragraph, character, and object styles in Adobe InDesign to ensure seamless layout transitions across different brands.
- Interactive Form Creation: Building, updating, and optimizing smart, user-friendly interactive PDFs using Adobe Acrobat.
- Project & Stakeholder Collaboration: Working closely with a dedicated project team, legal/compliance stakeholders, and brand managers to deliver accurate assets on time.
- Quality Control & Compliance: Maintaining strict version control, tracking text edits, and ensuring zero layout drift or formatting errors across high page counts.
Key Requirements
- Experience: Proven commercial experience as a Senior Artworker, with a track record of successfully delivering high-volume, long-form document rollouts under tight deadlines.
- Core Skills: Expert-level proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Adobe Acrobat, with a deep understanding of advanced typography and typesetting.
- Workflows: Elite-level experience working with complex InDesign style sheets to apply branding and styling effectively, efficiently, and consistently across text-heavy documents.
- Approach: A fast, accurate, and highly organized approach to artworking, with the ability to work independently, manage a massive volume of assets, and maintain an eagle-eye view on detail.
- Preferred Background: Prior experience working within financial services, insurance, corporate banking, or at design agencies/publishers specializing in complex financial reports, prospectuses, or high-page-count magazines.
This position is a 12-month contract based in Auckland CBD offices, offering a hybrid working model and a supportive team environment.
