- Workplace & Site Model:
- Auckland CBD: A hybrid approach requiring 2 days of on-site presence per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Design & Delivery: Own end-to-end platform design from requirements through to delivery.
- Hands-on Automation: Define Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) approaches and build repeatable, stable deployment patterns.
- Security by Design: Embed modern identity, access, and workload protections across cloud and hybrid environments.
- Stakeholder Alignment: Coordinate with engineering teams and external stakeholders, translating complex architectural decisions into clear, accessible technical outcomes.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive modern engineering standards, automation pipelines, and robust code-based governance.
Technical Profile
- Azure Cloud Platform: Proven capability across the Azure cloud platform, including compute, networking, and core storage.
- Modern Security Ecosystem: Practical familiarity with the Microsoft security stack (Entra ID, Defender for Endpoint, and Sentinel).
- Automation & Containers: Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform or Azure Bicep) and containerized platforms (Kubernetes/AKS).
- Experience Level: Ideally suited for individuals with 1–2 years of dedicated architecture experience, or a Technical Lead looking to advance who possesses practical solution design experience.
- Core Background: A technical history rooted in Infrastructure, Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Security Consulting.
Beneficial Criteria:
- Professional certifications in Azure, Kubernetes, or security architecture.
- Previous experience working within regulated industries or public sector environments.
- Familiarity with cloud-native tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and hybrid cloud environments.
